Install the Switch and Connect Devices
1. For each device,  insert one end of an Ethernet cable into a port on the switch and the other end into the network port on the device. Connect the power adapter cord into the back of the switch and then plug the adapter into a power source (such as a wall socket or power strip). For each jack that is connected to a powered device,  check that the Link LED is lit and it flashes when activity occurs.
